1. Prompt Exercise
This was a big busy week in CVP! We are continuing to learn about color. Color contrast, warm and cool colors, primary, secondary and tertiary colors, complementary colors, hue, value scale, tint, tone, shade, saturation, harmony, color mixing, bias, muted color, and glazing. Did I miss something? Probably 😂 Phew!
One thing I love and not sure if I mentioned before, we do a lot of these exercises in our journals which is fun! I love my journal and will continue using them moving forward. Do any of you use a journal also? Scroll down.

2. Learning to glazeÂ

3. Fun with color mixing
I love your painting and it sounds like you’re getting a lot out your course. I do keep art journals, and they’re a wonderful life record that I treasure. Can’t wait to see what you have to share with us next!
This looks like it’s the perfect class for you . Experimenting and playing. Love your journal. Regretfully, I dont keep one and am not very good about a sketchbook either . Keep it up and it’s great how you are challenging yourself!
I’m more a many sketchbook person, so sometimes I have many years in one sketchbook, depending on what is handy at the time. So a little more disorganized but still I treasure them. Our teacher told us to date everything and I’m grateful when I remembered to do that as I look back through my work. I’m so glad you’re finding joy and excitement in your art.

I can feel your excitement about what you are doing! Makes me want to start a journal….
These journal entries are wonderful Maureen. It looks like you’re really diving in and learning a ton.
I love, love journals. I have done many of all sorts and still do. Les’s suggestion to put dates and what your thoughts are in the moment, is great advice. I wish I had been more consistent with that.
