Another picture of shapes and colors! I’m having fun with these sketches-trying to get thick, impasto paint. if I call it a ‘sketch’ I really dont worry about where it goes !

Such bold rich colors and strong design! Isn’t it funny that the word “sketch” can allow us to connect in a more emotional direct way. Isn’t that what we want to do all the time?
I keep hearing “don’t try to make a painting…just explore and try different things. I think that’s what a sketchbook is for. You’ve taken a complex subject and simplified it with your shapes. I love the energy and looseness of this and of course the colors are on derful!
