#1 Acrylic abstract with white stenciled overlay

#2 Collage papers made with stencils on the gel plate and using the same palette.

#3 Collage using papers made some time ago. I did this before I made the papers shown here. I tried some faux stitching and added a piece of sari silk at the left.
#1 keeps pulling me back. I really like the white stenciled overlay. Cool.

These are all lovely. I like the strong colors and textures of #3
Your work fascinates me. Each one has so many different and interesting elements. The paper you made is delicious… The colors and overlays and layers… wow. I’d be interested to know how you do it.. The green one on top seems so complex. Beautiful.
I had printed a lot and there were mixed colors dried and left on the plate. I put down a very thin layer of paint on the plate (VERY thin), put a piece of rice paper on it and rubbed it for a minute or two. When I pulled the print, everything came up on the paper. The stencil imprint was already on the plate, so it appeared with all the colors. Nice surprise!
These are all so interesting. I think I’ll have to say my fav is #1. You’re work shows the joy you are finding in it.
I am drawn to 2, the collage papers with stencils on gel plate, and envision them and others that you have made assembled into a hand sewn book! I find your work so calming! Just beautiful!
Deb, As I’m about to google what a gel plate is, I am imagining you have a studio, or some place tucked in your home where you have all sorts of fun goodies to create! You are so creative! I love your abstract with the white overlay and your stenciled papers are so pretty. I’d love to learn how you made your abstract. The overlay reminds me of frozen ice crystal forming. Very cool!
