This was a wipeout, but decided to send it. Much time spent on background with collage, paint and sanding. Sort of copied Louise Fletcher for painting on top of background, but
didn’t like it. Ugh! Lost the background I liked. It’s fun experimenting…they don’t all work!

I feel a lot of turmoil in this piece, like being on a wild ocean in a small boat! I like the line work also. Maybe they don’t all work for what you’re looking for but they still work!?

I see a seascape as well, but really like the emotional aspect of the painting. Your brushstrokes and scribbles are expressive and direct. It works!
They are definitely Louise’s style, but with your own twist on them. I think this requires a lot of patience, and I can see you making the style your own as you continue…and I really love the green drips!
I really like it Sharon! So expressive. I say this is a keeper! The brushwork, pencil, background, all work for me. Very cool!
I love the movement and undulation of the form in this. My eyes follow the rotating core of color… The black line in #9 really works to give form and add to the feeling of turning in space. I also like in #9 that your line work points me back to the form. Compelling and Turbulent.
I agree there is a beautiful sense of movement and, as always your colors are beautiful!
