Here are a few pictures from my challenge. This is an old painting of my great grandmother that wasn’t quite what I wanted. I have been studying masters so decided to apply what I have been learning by redoing this one. I sanded down the old painting and started to restate some of the shapes in the drawing on top of the old (in hindsite I should have begun again it was so far off!). I’ll begin to slowly build up color and shape but need to spend a lot of time to try to get the drawing somewhat close.

I really liked your original version, but I understand not being satisfied with what you’ve done. It’s interesting to see how you’re approaching the re-do. Can’t wait to see more.
Thank you for sharing your process and it will be interesting to follow it’s evolution.
Wow, I will also be watching, if you have a specific technique at any time that you learned from the masters it would be interesting to hear about it.
