This started out as a contour, and I should have kept it simple after the initial watercolor wash! Kept overworking it. Tried adding pastel but that didn’t help. May keep working at it but not for now!

I like it. The glow of the background and the way the flowers pop with a little bit of the contour showing.

It’s so interesting to see how the painting morphed as you worked at it. I love the way the flowers bleed out into the background in the pastel. Beautiful sensitive shapes in those flowers.
