
Here’s my challenge from a painting I did at camp a while ago. I wanted to paint the light on the windows on the old house but the trees tried to take the stage. I knocked Back the bushes and moved the big tree to the side a bit and made it smaller. I think it’s a better composition and is easier to see without color.

Sounds like you did a lot of rearranging and all for the better. Wish you had included the original so I could see the difference.
I would have liked to see the original too. This reminds me of Wyeth’s work. Very moody and interesting.

I feel as though I’m standing in the yard! It reminds me of my great aunt’s house of manymyears ago. A wonderful memory.
