We have some plants returning to life, so I was able to do some more botanical monoprints. I misaligned the paper on the second pass, creating that white line, but I kind of liked it. Scroll down for last weeks submission to post.

I didn’t complete anything this week, but this is a sketchbook grid I made last week. I was playing with design and color to see what I liked.
I always like your botanicals.
The grid is neat, like a quilt, and it reminds me of how I enjoyed doing thumbnails.

I also like the misalignment on your 2nd pass. To me it compliments the white outline on the upper leaves. The grid gives me a sense of looking out of small windows onto the world.
The leaf with the strong white I like a lot. It directs my eye and gives it dimension. Love those happy accidents!
Your sketchbook grid is wonderful! I loved looking at your thumbnail designs. It’s inspiring…
Those happy accidents are great! The white diagonal line is a nice contrast to the more subtle leaves.
Those sketchbook studies seem to be an important thing to do in terms of composition and deciding what you like and don’t like. These are great! Collage would be a good way to do it too!
That happy accident of the white diagonal like is a great contrast to the other more subtle leaf shapes.
That leaf is beautiful and I love the discipline of the sketchbook studies . Looks like you have a lot of great ideas
I’ve been marveling at the beauty and wonder of Spring and your monoprint captures it so well. During my walks, I love looking closely at the delicate little plants and flowers. It’s a great lesson in mindfulness! And the grid is so cool!
