So many changes from the original, but several main attempts…. I wanted more dimensional sunflowers, so I planned the design more carefully. I tried to get my values with fewer passes, trying for fresher looking paint. Thoughts are appreciated!Original

In the redo the flowers feel more relaxed and free.

I love that you have the flowers facing in different directions. It gives it such good energy and movement. The only thing that keeps it from being a “masterpiece” is the two flowers in the center which are lined up and very similar. This happens to me all the time…two shapes lined up of similar size, shape or whatever…which is why i am sensitive to it. Also love the blue flowers and the spattering.
Thanks Sharon, I did notice it at one point, but had really forgotten that glaring no no! So hard to think of everything!!!

The positioning of the sunflowers and the addition of the more delicate purple flowers really enhances the second painting. Gives it a special richness and depth. It’s beautiful!

I really like both of them, but I do think the arrangement and angle of the the flowers on the second one does give it more dimension.
Both beautifully done. Lush colors. I liked how you introduced more of the blue/violet in the re-do.
My eye wants to dance between those yellows and blues in your redo. It’s so happy and beautiful, warm and summery! Love it!
