I know, this is kind of raw and crazy. I read about an exercise… be spontaneous, use lots of paint, go fast and bold, quick mixing… if you miss go over the color. It was intense, but lots of fun. Somewhere along the way, it felt more like the way I want to paint… maybe just enjoying color. I can’t evaluate much yet, but I think I’ll try it again.

I love this! Expression, mood, warm/cool all come through beautifully.
Thanks Deb. It felt good…but when I stepped back was worried it might be too much over the top. I appreciate your feedback. I’ll keep working on the idea & see where it goes…

This is wonderful!!! I’m amazed by how you captured her pensive mood, yet with such passionate brushstrokes. Wow! It’s amazing how we can suddenly discover what style of painting, or whatever, brings us joy and satisfaction. We ‘feel it’ more that ‘think or analyze it’.
