The first two are 6×16  so I couldn’t take a good pic.  The second has changed a lot from what was originally there…a little too realistic but I do like the composition.  The last two were originally abstract painted fast out of frustration which I did again.

All in all it was wonderful being outside to paint.  I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I got out there.  A wonderful week!!!

    I love the pink sky in the field and I hadn’t seen the bog brook painting, you’re moving in a great direction and I love your work.

    Shar, these are wonderful. They have the atmospheric feel of nature…and the layers of subtle colors beautiful.. My favorite is the first… atmospheric and sets a mood.

    I love the scrubbed out parts; they allow the viewer to “see” what they “see”. The more pictorial aspects lend an anchor point for the viewings, which are also loose enough to leave them open to some interpretation. — Patty

    Sharon, I love them all! The long format is so interesting, especially for your chosen subjects. It is great to be out painting, even if you have to finish up inside…. We have all winter to finish up!
