I love how you simplified a very complicated subject and held it together. Also all the vertical strokes of the trees adds life and movement. Great to see you!
The broken bits of color intermingling and overlapping are beautiful. I particularly love the way you wove the reds into the design… some soft, others bright, others dull… beautiful.
When you are able, if you would like, send along more from last week. I’ll get them posted.
Ellen,
This so cool, I really like it.

The colors catch the season, but the line work zooms with action. I agree with Susan; I want to see more. — Patty
I’m being led into a mysterious forest. Very much like the simplicity of the tree trunks and the red trees.
Ellen, this is such a lively painting of a somewhat quiet subject. The linework you did brings it all together, I really like the textural effect you got. Really nice!
Your lines give this painting energy and life, love your color transitions too.
